On your first visit the doctor will sit down with you and discuss and review your health problems and concerns. This information will help in determining what course of examinations to take with your case.
The doctor will perform the appropriate Orthopedic, Neurological and Chiropractic testing. The purpose of the examination is to determine if we can help you and what type of care can be beneficial to you. If necessary, X-rays can be taken at our office. X-rays allow us to fully understand your problem along with determining the health of your spine, alignment and degeneration.
During the report of findings the Doctor will go over your examination and let you know if your case will be accepted for care. Thorough explanation of any X-rays and findings will also be discussed and we will answer any questions of concerns. The Doctor will explain recommendations for care and the types of necessary treatment required to help you such as: Relief care - first phase of care focused on fast pain relief, Corrective care - following pain relief we continue care to correct the cause of your problem and improve your body’s function. Wellness care - Preventative care after the pain is relieved and correction is achieved. The type of care you decide upon is up to you. The Doctor’s goal is to provide you with the information you need to help make the best decisions for your Chiropractic health care.
Patients are given home care instructions regarding activities and procedures to do at home to help your condition. This may include ice and/or heat applications; avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and stretches.
